Carl Zimmer and the BBC on Evolution
I am going to try to make it a point to mention some of the nicer articles that I find online about evolution. I am doing this for several reasons: my own archival purposes, the fact that it is timely, and that evolution (specifically how it is played out in society/politics) is a very interesting subject to most people. So here are the first two articles on my new list:
- The Origin of Species, Side by Side - By Carl Zimmer.
Carl, who writes at the Loom, has been outputting some of the greatest easy to read articles that are available. His research is impeccable, and he has an uncanny sense of word choice and vivid illustration.
- Churches urged to back evolution - By St Louis BBC News science reporter Paul Rincon
“US scientists have called on mainstream religious communities to help them fight policies that undermine the teaching of evolution.” About time! The adulteration of both science and religion must be fought strongly from both sides. A truly interesting development.
I will try to continue posting interesting new evolution articles in the evolution category of this blog. Do any of you know of some interesting articles?
