CSS Naked Day

Where did all the style go? No need to adjust your browser, today (April 5th, 2006) is CSS Naked Day.

I am opting to participate in an annual event where website owners remove the CSS from their sites to reveal the browser default style underneath. This day is to help bring awareness to web standards, and the importance of quality, semantic, XHTML coding. Without my style sheet applied, my website is still very usable; if you were vision impaired, this is what you would see, or have read to you.

Removing the CSS allows us to see the bare (pun intended) bones of what a website really is, and should be. The CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) simply forms a presentation layer on top of the XHTML data.
